The press conference dedicated to the opening of the Caspian Agro and İnterFood Azerbaijan exhibitions was held on May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hilton Baku Hotel. The press conference was attended by Mr. Toghrul Gafarbeyli – Head of Ministers Protocol of Azerbaijan's Agriculture Ministry, Mr. Bahruz Hidayatzadeh – Executive Director of Caspian Event Organisers, Mrs. Zarina Mammadova – Project Director. Media representatives from APA Group, AZERTAC, Report.az, Real TV, Ses TV, Anews.az and other agencies attended the press-conference. During the press conference, journalists were informed about the participants, additional events programme and statistics.

15th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition “Caspian Agro” and the 27th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition “InterFood Azerbaijan” will be held from 18 to 20 May.
This year there will be a record number of national and regional stands at the exhibition. 449 companies from 24 countries confirmed their participation at the exhibitions.
CASPIAN AGRO 2022
Caspian Agro is the largest international agricultural exhibition in the region. Exhibition is a proven tool in the market for introducing advanced technologies in the agro-industrial area of the Republic of Azerbaijan, sharing experience, and strengthening mutually beneficial business ties between local and foreign farmers.
The exhibition brings together on one site important players in the agricultural industry, local and foreign experts, and thousands of professional visitors, including importers, exporters, distributors, representatives of wholesale and retail trade, and farmers.
This year, 294 companies from 20 countries take part in the Caspian Agro exhibition. Companies from: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, China, Great Britain, Finland, France, Germany, Georgia, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, USA will take part in exhibition.

Thus, the Caspian Agro 2022 exhibition will once again become a meeting place for all specialists of the agro-industrial complex, farmers, distributors of agricultural products, and all who are interested in the development of the agricultural sector and are actively involved in this process in Azerbaijan.
SMART AGRO
Caspian Agro 2022 focuses on high technologies and presents the Smart Agro direction, which will include such sectors as: Smart Village, Artificial Intelligence, IT services, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones). The business program of the exhibition will also correspond to the listed topics. Thus, the Conference “Smart Agro: Advancement of innovations in Agriculture” will be held within the framework of the exhibition on May 18. Within the framework of the Smart Agro sector, the exhibition will present projects that are already being implemented, as well as those planned for realization in the liberated territories of Karabakh.
TOUR FOR FARMERS
Every year, the organisers conduct tours of the exhibition for regional farmers, where they can familiarise themselves with the latest innovations of the industry, which are indispensable conditions for the production of high-quality products. This year tours for farmers from about 40 districts have been organized.
INTERFOOD AZERBAIJAN 2022
Simultaneously with the Caspian Agro, InterFood Azerbaijan exhibition will be held, which is the main meeting place for the food industry players of the Caspian region. The exhibition aims to promote quality goods to the market and establish direct contacts between exhibitors and visitors. 155 companies from 12 countries take part in InterFood Azerbaijan. Companies from: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, India, Iran, Italy, Lithuania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Turkey will participate. The exposition of the InterFood Azerbaijan 2022 exhibition will present a range of equipment for various types of food industry.

ADDITIONAL EVENTS AND BUSINESS PROGRAMME
Traditionally, the exhibitions will host bilateral business meetings (B2B), where representatives of local and foreign companies will be able to meet each other to discuss ways of cooperation and further ways of partnership face–to–face as well as bilateral business meetings (B2G), where representatives of private companies will be able to meet with representatives of government agencies.
An extended business program will be presented to participants and visitors at the exhibitions. Thus, within the framework of the InterFood Azerbaijan 2022, 2nd Azerbaijan Chefs Championship «Chefs Cup» will be held, which gives the teams and individuals an opportunity to demonstrate a high level of professionalism in their field, talent and a desire to meet the requirements of the hotel and restaurant business on a global scale.
Special attention should be paid to the Fish Festival “Balık Ekmek”, which will be held on the outdoor site. Also in the presentation zone of the Baku Expo Center will be held Belarusian-Azerbaijani Business Forum. Among other things, visitors will be able to attend panel discussions, get acquainted with the composition of decorative food "The Art of Food", which will unfold in the lobby of the Baku Expo Center.
Thus, the exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to acquaint with innovations, consult with the qualified specialists, and consider proposals from various participants.

At the 15th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition Caspian Agro and the 27th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition InterFood Azerbaijan with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBD) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, micro and small enterprises operating in the food industry and agriculture Entrepreneurs will present their products and services.
